CBSE extends CTET January 2024 application deadline

On November 22, 2023, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced an extension of the deadline for applying to the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) January 2024. Interested applicants now have until November 27 to submit their forms through the official website ctet.nic.in.

Initially set for November 23, the application deadline was rescheduled. The CTET exam will be held on Sunday, January 21, and will be conducted in 20 different languages.

Applicants falling under the general or OBC NCL category, participating in only one paper, are required to pay an examination fee of Rs 1,000. If candidates choose to take both papers, the fee increases to Rs 1,200.

For SC, ST candidates, and differently-abled individuals, the examination fee is Rs 500 for one paper and  Rs 600 for both papers. CBSE has identified 135 cities as exam centres for CTET.
