Aminesh Kumar Singh, a PGDM Marketing graduate from Apeejay School of Management (ASM), has carved a niche for himself in CBRE’s advisory and transaction team. In a candid conversation, he reflects on his role, fond memories of ASM, and his vision for the future.

Did ASM’s campus placement help launch your career?
Yes, ASM’s placement training was invaluable. My professors became true mentors, guiding me through interview strategies and offering advice that helped me excel. I also participated in several campus webinars and placement workshops, which played a key role in my success.

What does a typical day look like in your role at CBRE?
My primary responsibility is facilitating the sale or lease of warehouses. This involves getting stock in order, creating profiles, and pitching and briefing clients. I manage these tasks across Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, ensuring clients find the right spaces for their needs.

What was life like at ASM?
At ASM, I transformed in many ways. Coming from Bihar, I focused heavily on improving my linguistic skills. I was active in the Operations Club and took part in several supply chain events, which helped develop my organizational skills. Playing volleyball was another outlet that kept me engaged and connected with my peers.

What advice would you give current students?
My advice is simple: be honest, know your strengths, and make
self-improvement a priority. ASM taught me the value of focusing on personal growth, so I suggest future students work on grooming themselves and refining their skills before placements.

Where do you see yourself headed in the corporate world?
I aspire to climb the corporate ladder and take on higher roles in the years to come.
