Architecture & Planning Institute in Greater Noida gears up for special lecture series on ‘Site Planning’

Site planning is a critical component of the architectural design process and is an essential skill for any aspiring architect. Hence, a lecture series on site planning is a great way for architecture students to gain insight into the importance of this aspect of the profession. In addition to encouraging out-of-box thinking, budding architects get an opportunity to learn about various site planning techniques, including site analysis, design, and construction. They will also gain insights into the importance of site planning in achieving sustainable architecture and enhancing the functionality of a building. Attending lecture series on the same can help students gain exposure to the latest technologies and advancements in the field of site planning, enabling them to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends. Further, lecture series on site planning lead architects to understand the physical, cultural, and social factors that shape a site and that can help them create designs that better meet the needs of the communities they serve. 

Thus, keeping the above perspectives in mind, Apeejay Institute of Technology-School of Architecture & Planning (AIT-SAP) in Greater Noida is organising a unique lecture series themed ‘Site Planning’ in its campus on Tuesday, May 09, 2023.

Organised in collaboration with the Architects Association of Noida Zone, the key speaker for this lecture series is Mr. Rajesh Shukla,  a landscape architect with a demonstrated history of working in the architecture and planning industry since 1990. The graduate from School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, Mr. Shukla started his firm Quintessence. Some of his major projects include the Sahara Aamby Valley; Reliance Corporate Park, Mumbai; Various resorts and hotels for ITC, Marriott, Ananta, etc.;Goa Mopa Airport; Botanical gardens of the Indian Republic, Noida, and so on.

The idea of this lecture series is to better equip aspiring architects with the concepts of designing buildings that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing, but also contribute positively to the larger community. Also, the focus is to provide students with essential knowledge and skills, expose them to the latest industry trends, and help them develop a broader understanding of the communities they are aspiring to serve as part of their career.
