Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Sohna, Gurugram marked the 77th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm, dignity, and patriotic fervour at the university campus in front of the Central Library. The celebration brought together faculty members, staff, students, and volunteers in a shared expression of national pride and constitutional values.

The programme commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. On this solemn occasion, the Vice-Chancellor also administered the Pledge of Citizenship, reaffirming the collective commitment of the university community to uphold the principles of the Constitution and work towards the progress of the nation.
Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor reflected on the deeper significance of Republic Day, highlighting the themes “Swatantra ka Mantra – Vande Mataram,” symbolising the guiding call of freedom, and “Samridhi ka Mantra – Atmanirbhar Bharat,” representing the vision of a prosperous and self-reliant India. He emphasised that Republic Day should not be viewed merely as a public holiday, but as a reminder of the responsibility each citizen holds towards national unity, integrity, and inclusive development. Urging students and faculty to contribute actively to nation-building, he stressed the importance of aligning individual aspirations with collective progress.

The occasion was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including Prof. Moinuddin, Prof. Sanjay Ahirwal, Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Amit Kumar Sinha, Head, School of Management Sciences, Mr. Sachin Gupta, DGM Admissions, Mr. Mohsin Khan, Deputy Registrar, Dr. Amisha Vyas, and Mr. Chinmaya Sharma. Their presence added to the significance and solemnity of the celebration.
