Apeejay students participate in a nationwide competition launched by RBI

The Finance Club at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar presented an exclusive opportunity for students to participate in the “RBI90Quiz”, a nationwide competition launched by the Reserve Bank of India to commemorate its 90 years of service.

The quiz was designed for undergraduate college students that featured multiple-choice questions covering a wide range of general knowledge topics, including current affairs, history, literature, sports, economy, finance, and trivia, with a special focus on RBI-related content.

More than 10 teams enthusiastically participated in this multi-level competition, which began with an online round.

Sharing her experience Partiksha, a B Com student, mentioned, “I participated in the RBI@90 Nationwide online quiz , held at my institute. Leading up to the event , I dedicated 1 week to preparation , diving into various subjects such as history, current affairs, and general knowledge.  The questions in the quiz were a bit challenging. I faced a few questions that required in – depth knowledge of classic novels and authors. Each question was to be answered in 30 seconds only.”

She also added, “Despite the pressure, my extensive preparation paid off, and I managed to answer most of the questions correctly, which made me score the highest percentage among all other participants. This experience not only enhanced my knowledge but also taught me valuable lessons about collaboration and quick thinking under pressure. Overall, it was an enriching experience that I will carry with me in future endeavours.”

Another B Com student Sehaj Makkar said, “I got an opportunity to participate in this nationwide quiz, which was an incredible experience for me. While preparing for this quiz, I got extra knowledge about history, current affairs and general knowledge. The quiz was quite challenging for me as it included questions about novels, authors and food, which we had to answer within 30 seconds for each question. This in future will help to crack more competitive exams. I have secured 67 percent which was highest among other participants of the quiz.”

The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Anu Sahi (Convenor) and Ms. Hardeep Kaur (Faculty Coordinator).

Lastly, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director at AIMETC, appreciated both students and faculty for their active involvement and efforts in making this event a success.
