The campus of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, came alive with enthusiasm, creativity, and youthful energy as it held its 12th edition of the much-awaited inter-college festival Apeejay Spark 2026. Organised under the esteemed guidance of Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, the event celebrated talent, innovation, and collaborative learning among students from across Punjab.
The grand event witnessed the participation of more than 1000 students from 30 reputed colleges, making it one of the largest student gatherings in the region. Participants enthusiastically competed in a diverse range of competitions designed to highlight their communication, managerial, creative, and technical skills. The festival offered a vibrant platform for young minds to explore their abilities and showcase their potential in various domains.
In her message, Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia extended her best wishes to all participants and emphasised that Apeejay institutions remain committed to fostering holistic development by providing opportunities where students can learn, innovate, and express themselves confidently.
Neha Berlia, Co-Promoter and Member of the Senior Management Board Apeejay Stya and Svrán Group and Pro-Chancellor Apeejay Stya University , also highlighted the significance of such initiatives in nurturing students’ confidence and interpersonal skills. She remarked that events like Apeejay Spark enable students to step beyond classroom learning and develop qualities that are essential for success in life and professional careers.
The event commenced on an auspicious note with a soulful Vandana followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Director Dr. Rajesh Bagga along with distinguished deans and dignitaries. Welcoming the guests and participants, Dr. Bagga described Apeejay Spark as a testament to the institution’s commitment to nurturing talent and encouraging healthy competition among students.
The festival featured an impressive line-up of 22 competitions spanning multiple disciplines. Students enthusiastically participated in events such as Ad Mad Show, Debate, Business Plan, Net Savvy, LAN Gaming, Logic Testing, Web Designing, Debugging, Quiz, Treasure Hunt, Poster Making, Collage Making, Rangoli, Mehndi, Best Out of Waste, and On-the-Spot Painting. Cultural competitions including Folk Dance, Street Play, Fashion Show, Stand-up Comedy, Mimicry, Mono Acting, and Solo Singing added vibrancy and excitement to the occasion.
Participants from several well-known institutions including Apeejay College of Fine Arts Jalandhar, Khalsa College Jalandhar, Government College Hoshiarpur, HMV College Jalandhar, DAV College Jalandhar, KMV College Jalandhar, and Meherchand Polytechnic Jalandhar competed with remarkable enthusiasm and creativity.
Among the standout highlights were the Ad Mad Show and Business Plan competitions, where students impressed the judges with their analytical thinking, research skills, and confident presentations. The Fashion Show captivated the audience with its creativity, style, and energetic performances, drawing loud applause from spectators.
The grand celebration concluded with a captivating group dance performance followed by the much-awaited prize distribution ceremony. Winners of various competitions were honoured with prizes and certificates of appreciation. Director Dr. Rajesh Bagga presented mementos to the dignitaries, while Mr. Daljeet Singh Matharu, Coordinator of Apeejay Spark 2026, delivered the vote of thanks.
Reflecting on the success of the event, Dr. Rajesh Bagga remarked that such competitions play a vital role in education as they help uncover hidden talents and inspire students to pursue excellence.
