Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park once again proved its mettle in sports as its students delivered outstanding performances at the prestigious Taekwondo Championship held at Columbia Foundation School, Vikaspuri. With a perfect display of discipline, strength, and perseverance, the young martial artists clinched a total of eight medals, including four gold and four silver, demonstrating their exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.
The championship witnessed fierce competition from various schools, making every victory even more commendable. The gold medalists—Lavanya from class 5-B, Deepak Kumar from class 6-B, Ekansha from class 5-A and Arpan Kalra from class 5-B stood out with their impeccable technique, agility, and unwavering focus. Their hard-earned victories are a testament to their rigorous training and commitment to mastering the art of Taekwondo.
Equally commendable were the silver medalists—Udyat Rajgarhia from class 8-A, Manya Aggarwal from class 5-B, Tahani from class 5-B and Purvi from class 5-B, who showcased remarkable skill and resilience in their matches. Their determination and perseverance reflected the school’s emphasis on holistic development and sporting excellence.
Teachers lauded the students for their perseverance and sportsmanship. The event not only provided them with a platform to showcase their abilities but also instilled in them the values of teamwork, resilience, and strategic thinking. Taekwondo coach Mr Vijender shared that the participating students have been training consistently under him for over two years. He said, “This win is a testament to the discipline and efforts of my students. We train for 45 min to an hour on weekdays in school. And on Saturdays, we are able to practice for longer intervals. I am very proud and happy for my students and it is more heartening to see girls take up this sport and win prizes as they learn self-defence alongside boosting their sporting skills.”
