Apeejay Noida students learn the importance of human values
The school in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission conducts an ‘Awakening Programme’ session for the students to unfold their inner potential
It is values that form the backbone of our character which in turn influences the choices and decisions we make in life. A person with sound values is aware of his/her self-worth and indulges in actions that strengthen the same. In a bid to promote the values of sharing and caring, respect for others, facing challenges and giving our best, Apeejay Noida launched the Awakening Programme in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission earlier this month.
As part of this programme, multiple sessions are being conducted for students of classes 1 to 5 in the month of May. To begin with, the value of ‘sharing and caring’ was nurtured among the students via various fun learning activities that also left them with a moral lesson. These activities were conducted in classes as per the predefined manual with the intention to track the awakening journey of the children, thereby empowering them to manifest their infinite potential and help others to do the same.
Further, the teachers through this awakening programme help students to understand the importance of being empathetic. The use of activities like ‘pair and share’, ‘budgeting’ and ‘name the community helpers’ in the programme aimed to encourage the child to collaborate with others, think, reflect while leading to his/her socio-emotional development.
The sessions concluded with a sense of accomplishment as the value of ‘sharing and caring’ was imbibed by the students. The various activities provided the students with an opportunity to think and look after other community members. Through various activities of exploration, situation analysis, discussions and real-life examples, the students discovered the tremendous impact of manifesting their infinite potential.
The programme struck a keynote in opening the minds of the students to various values, giving them a framework for decision-making and bringing about an inner transformation.
