Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC) takes pride in nurturing journalists who are well-prepared to meet the dynamic demands of the media industry. I am Siddhant Jha and I am currently working as an Assistant Producer at NewsX World.
Reflecting on my journey, I credit AIMC for playing a deeply influential role in shaping my professional path. From the very outset, the institute’s orientation programme provided me with clarity about the journalism industry and reinforced the confidence in choosing this career. The learning experience extended far beyond traditional classrooms, with real-world newsroom simulations, hands-on reporting assignments, and continuous feedback from experienced faculty members making the process both practical and purposeful.

The institute’s interactive teaching approach encouraged open dialogue, critical thinking, and learning through real-life experiences shared by faculty. I would further like to highlight the role of my batchmates, whose diverse perspectives, collaboration, and mutual support made this academic journey enriching and memorable.
AIMC instilled essential newsroom skills such as meeting tight deadlines, adapting to a
fast-paced work environment, and staying composed under pressure—competencies I actively apply in my current professional role. The institute goes beyond in preparing students for placements, equipping them instead for the real challenges of working in a newsroom.
