In the serene premises of Apeejay School, Tanda Road, the air was filled with respect and admiration as the school community gathered to commemorate the birth anniversary of Smt Rajeshwari Paul, a pivotal figure in the Apeejay saga. The day was marked with profound tributes and artistic showcases, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the beloved matriarch of the Apeejay Education family.
The event commenced with a heartfelt assembly where floral tributes were laid at the portrait of Smt Rajeshwari Paul. The Principal, Ms Sangeeta Nistandra, alongside Ms Deepti Kaushal, the school coordinator, led the faculty and student council in honouring her memory. The assembly hall, echoing with the soft rustling of flowers, created a solemn yet warm atmosphere.
Principal’s Address and Cultural Salute
Ms Nistandra took to the podium to share a poignant message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, daughter of the late Smt Rajeshwari Paul and a beacon of leadership in the educational sector. The message highlighted the enduring values and artistic passion of Smt. Paul, which has profoundly shaped the ethos of Apeejay institutions.
In line with Smt Paul’s love for the arts, the event blossomed into a cultural fiesta. Students performed an array of folk songs and dance routines that not only entertained but also deeply moved the audience, showcasing the rich tapestry of Indian culture.
Recognition of Achievements
Amidst the cultural celebrations, the school took a moment to recognise and felicitate Mr Yadwinder Gupta from the Physical Education Department. Mr Gupta was honoured for his commendable second-place win in the 21st Punjab State Senior & Master Kickboxing Championship, underscoring the school’s commitment to excellence in all spheres of education, including physical development.
Rajeshwari Kala Utsav
The highlight of the day was the Rajeshwari Kala Utsav, an art exhibition that displayed a stunning array of artworks by the students.
