Recently, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, came alive with rhythm, colours, and festive cheer as it hosted its much-awaited Dandiya Dhamaal-2. The event was a dazzling celebration of Indian tradition, joy, and community spirit, drawing enthusiastic participation from parents and students of Classes Nursery to VIII. The school campus was transformed into a vibrant hub of cultural pride, music, and merriment.

The evening commenced on a spiritual note with a traditional aarti, invoking blessings for happiness, prosperity, and togetherness. The sacred ritual set the tone for a night steeped in devotion and festivity. As the melodious beats of garba music filled the air, parents and students, dressed in radiant ethnic attire, took to the floor with coordinated steps, creating an atmosphere of infectious energy. Laughter, rhythmic claps, and cheerful smiles added to the charm, making the celebration truly unforgettable.

Adding glamour and excitement to the event, a special ramp walk showcased the festive ensembles of parents and students. The crowd erupted in applause as titles such as Garba Queen, Raas Rani, Most Vibrant, Twirl Star, and Most Enthusiastic were announced. These awards were graciously distributed by the school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, who applauded the spirit, energy, and enthusiasm of all participants, making the moment even more memorable.

The celebration also featured an engaging The Ramayan skit by the junior students which captivated the audience with expressive storytelling and powerful performances. The charm of the evening was further enhanced with Garba dance performances by girls of Classes VI, IX, and X, whose grace, synchronisation, and energy added a special sparkle to the festivities.

Adding a modern twist to the cultural evening, creative selfie points were set up across the venue, allowing families and friends to capture joyous memories together. Complementing the visual and musical celebrations, food stalls offered a variety of traditional and contemporary delicacies, from crispy samosas and chaat to sweet treats, delighting attendees and adding flavour to the cultural celebration.

A massive turnout of parents, students, and staff reflected the strong community spirit and appreciation for India’s rich cultural heritage. The evening concluded with a heartfelt prize distribution ceremony and the final aarti, blending celebration with devotion in perfect harmony.

Sharing his experience, Dr Vasishtha said, Dandiya Dhamaal-2 was a delightful celebration that brought our school community together in the spirit of tradition and joy. It was heart-warming to see parents and students dance, connect, and celebrate our rich cultural heritage. Events like these foster stronger bonds and lasting memories. I applaud the efforts of our teachers, students, and parents in making the evening a grand success. May we continue to cherish and celebrate such beautiful moments together in the future.”
