A day to enjoy science 

Science coupled with humanity is the only way forward. The entire world witnessed how science and humanity alone came to the rescue of the world during the pandemic. All institutions around the world understood clearly that scientific temperament must be encouraged and nurtured.

Apeejay School, Tanda Road in Jalandhar has always believed in grassroot development. Science is a key area of focus for the school. Therefore, a Science Exhibition – Explore Imagination was organised by the school recently.

Pre-Primary wing students exhibited various models on water cycle, water pollution, first aid kit, earth rotation among other ideas.

Ms. Sukhvinder Kaur, Head of the Science Department at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, presided over as the resource person for the event. Ms Kaur was delighted to visit the exhibition and was also enthralled after minutely observing every child’s model. She complimented each and every child’s performance and encouraged them to keep up with the scientific fervour.

The students enthusiastically explained the concept of their models to the resource person. Ms. Deepti Kaushal, School Coordinator appreciated the students for their brilliant efforts and motivated them to participate in more events that propel the spark of learning in them. She mentioned, “Thematic teaching and learning are an integral part of the curriculum at our pre-primary wing. Thematic learning keeps students engaged in the learning process as it offers a variety of lessons and activities surrounding a common theme that is integrated into all content areas. Therefore, the budding scientists of our school have successfully exhibited various models based on the themes they have learnt throughout the year. We beleive, introducing children to science at a young age assists in their brain development. I am extremely proud of all my young Einsteins.”
