The Wellness and Happiness Committee of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar organised a refreshing recreational and team-building programme for faculty members, creating an atmosphere filled with laughter, camaraderie, and positive energy. Designed to strengthen collaboration and trust across departments, the initiative brought together faculty members from the School of Management, School of Information Technology, and School of Engineering for a day dedicated to well-being, bonding, and collective growth.
The programme offered a welcome break from routine academic responsibilities, allowing faculty members to connect beyond classrooms, meetings, and deadlines. Through a series of thoughtfully planned activities, the event highlighted the importance of teamwork, communication, and mutual understanding—essential elements for a healthy and productive academic environment.
The day began on a calm and reflective note with an address by Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, who set the tone by emphasising the significance of wellness, balance, and unity within the institution. His words encouraged faculty members to prioritise mental well-being while continuing to work collaboratively towards institutional excellence.
As the day progressed, the atmosphere turned lively with a range of fun-filled games and interactive activities. Popular games such as dumb charades, save your balloon, and musical chairs brought out the playful and enthusiastic side of faculty members. These activities fostered laughter, friendly competition, and teamwork, helping participants reconnect with colleagues in a relaxed and informal setting. Faculty members from all three schools participated with great enthusiasm, making the sessions engaging and inclusive.
The highlight of the programme was an exciting Men’s and Women’s cricket match between the School of Management and the combined team of the School of IT and Engineering. The matches were marked by high energy, sportsmanship, and spirited cheering from colleagues. The friendly rivalry on the field added excitement to the day while reinforcing values of cooperation, respect, and team spirit.
The programme concluded on a warm and heartfelt note with Dr. Rajesh Bagga extending his best wishes to all faculty members. He expressed confidence that every member of the Apeejay Institute would continue to work with dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm in the coming year. His closing remarks fostered a strong sense of unity and goodwill, reinforcing the idea of the Apeejay community as one family.
Overall, the team-building programme proved to be a memorable and meaningful experience for the faculty. It successfully combined recreation with purpose, strengthening interdepartmental bonds and boosting morale. The event stood as a celebration of unity, friendship, and the shared spirit of growth that defines AIMETC. As the institution steps into the new year, such initiatives reaffirm its commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also the well-being and happiness of its people—because together, the Apeejay family continues to grow, learn, and lead.
