A day of unity, diversity, and grace

As part of the Independence Day week, the juniors of Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, gathered on August 13. 2025, for a morning full of talent, culture, and heartfelt patriotism. The event brought together yoga, cultural displays, and a lively solo dance competition, each leaving its mark on the audience.

The day opened with a yoga display by young students. With calm focus and graceful movements, they performed asanas that reflected both discipline and balance. Their synchronised postures served as a reminder of the strength and peace that yoga continues to bring to our lives, connecting the present to an ancient tradition.

Next came a touching presentation on ‘unity in diversity’. Children took the stage dressed in traditional attire from across India. Standing hand in hand, they chanted slogans of national unity, showing that even at a young age, they value and respect the country’s diverse heritage.

Dancing with heart and skill

The solo dance competition brought an energetic shift to the programme. Each performance combined skill with patriotic themes, blending traditional and modern dance styles. The judges had a tough job choosing the winners because of the high level of talent on display.

After careful consideration, the results were announced. Raavi from Class IV, Vivekananda House, secured first place with her graceful classical dance. Manya from Class III and Himanshi from Class IV, both from Gautam House, shared the second position. Third place went to Chansi from Class III, Kabir House, and Yashmita from Class V, Nanak House. A consolation prize was awarded to Hitanshi from Class III, Vivekananda House, for her lively and expressive performance.

A day to remember

The Principal, along with teachers and students, applauded the efforts and spirit shown by the participants. The event was more than a celebration of talent; it was a reflection of unity, pride, and the vibrant energy of the school’s youngest learners.

Speaking at the occasion, the Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, said, “Our juniors amazed us with their talent and spirit. From yoga to cultural displays to the dance competition, they showed how unity, discipline, and creativity go hand in hand. I congratulate all participants and winners. Let us continue to celebrate our diversity with love and respect as we move forward as one nation.”
