Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, GK-II, transformed into a vibrant canvas of colours, melodies, and emotions as the school celebrated two cherished occasions — Independence Day and Janmashtami. The school shimmered in the hues of saffron, white, and green, blending seamlessly with the festive charm of peacock feathers, floral garlands, and Krishna-themed décor. The atmosphere radiated both patriotic pride and spiritual devotion, a rare and heartwarming union of traditions.

The day began with a warm welcome to esteemed guests — Mr Govind Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Income Tax; Mr Sanjay Rana and Mrs Jyoti Rana, General Secretary, RWA GK-II. Their gracious presence elevated the celebration’s significance, making it a truly memorable morning for the children and parents alike.

The cultural segment opened with a spellbinding Manipuri dance performed by the Nursery and Kindergarten students. Dressed in delicate traditional attire, the little ones beautifully enacted the eternal love between Lord Krishna and Radha. Their gentle expressions, graceful hand gestures, and rhythmic movements held the audience in rapt attention, earning them enthusiastic applause. The performance wasn’t just endearing — it was a reminder of how art can unite culture and emotion most purely.

The event then moved to its most awaited highlight — the Flag Hoisting Ceremony. With hearts swelling in pride, the tricolour was hoisted by School Head Ms Komal Nathani alongside the honoured guests. As the flag soared high, the air filled with the powerful notes of the National Anthem, followed by a soul-stirring rendition of We Shall Overcome, symbolising unity, hope, and the shared dream of a better tomorrow.

In his address, Mr Kumar urged students to embrace values of responsibility, compassion, and global citizenship. He reminded them that true patriotism lies in taking pride in one’s heritage while striving to make meaningful contributions to the world.

Closing the celebrations, Ms Nathani shared a heartfelt message, inspiring children to pledge to share generously, act kindly, and uphold respect and empathy in their daily lives. She reminded everyone that loving one’s country also means spreading harmony and goodness in the community.

With its perfect blend of cultural richness, national pride, and moral reflection, the celebration left a deep and lasting impression — nurturing not just young minds, but young hearts.
