Apeejay School, Noida pays a soulful tribute to visionary scientist Dr K. Kasturirangan
A special morning assembly was held at Apeejay School, Noida, recently to honour the life and legacy of the distinguished scientist, educationist, and policymaker, Dr Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan. The solemn gathering brought together the Principal, Dr Neha Sharma, teachers, and students to pay a heartfelt tribute to a towering figure whose vision continues to shape India’s scientific and educational landscape.
The tribute was marked by a sense of deep respect and admiration. Students opened the assembly with a detailed and visually engaging PowerPoint presentation, tracing key milestones from Dr Kasturirangan’s extraordinary journey— from his tenure as the Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), where he guided several landmark space missions, to his monumental role as the chief architect of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The presentation helped students understand the far-reaching impact of his work on both national and global platforms.
The Principal, in her address, shared Dr Kasturirangan’s long-standing connection with Apeejay Education. She recalled how Dr. Kasturirangan deeply appreciated Apeejay School’s vision of fostering curiosity, values, and academic excellence in students. “His thoughts on holistic education resonate deeply with our ethos at Apeejay School, Noida. He believed in empowering young minds to become independent thinkers, leaders, and contributors to a knowledge-based society,” Dr Sharma noted.
The tribute was not only an academic reflection but also a moment of emotional connection. A minute of silence was observed in the auditorium to honour the memory of a man whose pioneering spirit continues to ignite young imaginations. The atmosphere was charged with reverence, as students reflected on how one life dedicated to science, innovation, and education could inspire generations.
