Unlikely it seems but true it is: success is a process and not an end result. It begins in lonely afternoons and silent nights when one puts in the work as the rest of the world sleeps away. Slowly as one progresses, the surrounding people begin to cheer on and it isn’t long enough until the entire world takes notice!

Something similar happened with the students from Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram. The month-long preparations of the students were finally rewarded as they secured 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in the 36th National Youth Festival held at Jain University, Bangalore.

Competing against over 900 universities across the nation, ASU students truly achieved a miraculous feat as they mesmerised with their talent across diverse fields. Nisha Pameh, the talented singer from the Sohna Road campus had a great time at Bangalore. She won the first position in two events – western solo singing and light vocal ghazal event. “I have undergone a rigorous training session over months under the tutelage of Dr Anadi Mishra to achieve this precision,” she mentioned.

The first position in classical instrumental solo (Percussion) was won by Agam Shingari while Kashvi Goel won the third position in the rangoli making event.  Jyotika secured the second position in classical dance event and on the other hand, Ria Sharma bagged the second position in elocution. The second position in clay modelling was achieved by Jaahnvi. The ASU music choir won the third position in western group song. Comprising students Swaralipi Sarkar, Sneha Jajoo, Hiya Bhattacharya, Nisha Pameh, Shivam Chauhan, Gagandeep Singh, the team was delighted as the win encouraged them to aim for greater heights.

ASU faculty Prof. Dibyendu Tripathi was highly impressed with the performance of the students. He mentioned, “This is a maiden victory for ASU. We got 8 medals which is very encouraging indeed. I congratulate all the winners. They  have also motivated the juniors to keep up with this momentum in the coming years.”
