On August 14, 2025, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, came alive with devotion and cheer as the school community gathered to celebrate Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. The campus resonated with prayers, music, and joy, creating a festive atmosphere that brought everyone together.
The day began with students reciting shlokas from The Bhagavad Gita. Their voices filled the hall with serenity and reverence, reminding everyone of the timeless teachings of Lord Krishna. Dressed in bright, traditional attire, students then staged a captivating act from the Mahabharata. Through expressive performances, they brought to life key episodes from Krishna’s journey, leaving the audience deeply engaged.

Sacred rituals and devotional songs
A special poojan was performed by students with devotion and grace. The rituals were accompanied by soulful bhajans, adding to the spiritual ambience. The gathering joined in prayer, seeking blessings for peace, harmony, and wisdom. The entire ceremony reflected the school’s effort to nurture faith and values among young learners.
The school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, took part in the celebration, offering prayers before the deity. He encouraged students to adopt the values of truth, compassion, and righteousness that Lord Krishna embodied. His words inspired the children to reflect on the relevance of Krishna’s teachings in their daily lives.

“Our Janmashtami celebration was a vibrant reflection of our students’ devotion, creativity, and cultural understanding. The shloka recitations, the act, and the poojan were truly heart-warming. I commend our students and staff for their efforts in making this event so meaningful. Celebrations like these not only enrich our traditions but also instil values of righteousness, love, and duty. May Lord Krishna’s wisdom continue to inspire us all,” he said.
