Recently, Apeejay School, Noida, hosted a transformative learning experience — the CBSE-Intel AI Bootcamp. Held on weekdays, this two-week bootcamp provided students with a hands-on introduction to the exciting and fast-evolving world of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The sessions were packed with engaging lessons, discussions, and real-world applications. Students explored core areas of AI such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Data Science, and the complete AI Project Lifecycle. Ethical AI development was also a strong focus, ensuring students understood the importance of responsible innovation.

Learning the tools of tomorrow

The bootcamp aimed to build not only curiosity but also technical proficiency. Participants got comfortable using industry-standard tools like Python, Jupyter Notebook, NumPy, Pandas, and the Natural Language Toolkit (NLTK). These tools helped them translate ideas into functioning AI models.

But this was not just about coding — it was about using AI to solve real problems. Through project-based learning, students aligned their ideas with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), showing how technology can support global development.

The culmination of the bootcamp was a showcase of creative, impactful projects developed by the students. Each project reflected not only technical skills but also a sense of purpose.

Gift-Genie by Ritvick Jain (Class X-A): A smart gift recommendation tool powered by AI. It helps users choose thoughtful gifts based on preferences and occasion, supporting SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production.

AI-Driven Waste Detection by Mishti Agarwal (Class X-A): Using computer vision, this project identifies plastic waste in water bodies. It addresses SDG 13 – Climate Action and SDG 14 – Life Below Water.

EduBot by Navya Maheshwari (Class X-A): This AI model predicts student performance, helping teachers tailor support. It promotes SDG 4 – Quality Education.

Shaping ethical, confident problem solvers

The bootcamp wasn’t just about innovation — it was about intention. Students learned how to approach real-world challenges with empathy, creativity, and technical know-how. They were encouraged to think critically, collaborate meaningfully, and code responsibly.

By the end of the programme, each participant left not only with new skills but also with a stronger belief that they could use AI to bring change. The CBSE–Intel AI Bootcamp 2025 proved to be more than an event — it was a stepping stone for the next generation of ethical AI leaders.
