Torchbearers of tomorrow take oath at this school

With the blessings and visionary guidance of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, hosted its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2025–26. Held in the school auditorium, the event celebrated leadership, responsibility, and the spirit of commitment among students.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This traditional gesture symbolised the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom. An elegant Invocation Dance followed, capturing the ethos of the school’s rich cultural tradition and setting a graceful tone for the day.

Oath of responsibility and honour

The heart of the ceremony was the official induction of the newly elected School Academic Cabinet and House Prefectorial Board. Principal Ms Sangeeta Nistandra administered the solemn oath to the student leaders, urging them to carry out their duties with integrity, discipline, and enthusiasm.

As each student stepped forward to receive their badge of office, a sense of pride filled the auditorium. What made the moment even more special was the presence of their parents, who joined the Principal in pinning the badges on their children. This act not only symbolised trust but also reflected the school’s belief in nurturing strong partnerships with parents.

Parents’ pride and heartfelt gratitude

Several parents came forward to express their heartfelt appreciation. They thanked the Principal and the school management for their meticulous organisation of the ceremony and acknowledged the values the institution instils in its students. Their words reflected a shared pride in the development of the young leaders.

Meet the young leaders

The newly appointed leaders of the school included Digvijay Mago as Head Boy and Seher Malhotra as Head Girl. Vidit Jain and Aakriti Bhagat were named Sports Captains, while Dhariya Aggarwal and Arnazz Kaur Parmar took charge as Discipline Heads. Each student was recognised not only for their academic or extracurricular achievements but also for their ability to lead by example.

The event concluded with the National Anthem, a fitting end to a meaningful ceremony that marked the beginning of a new journey for the student leaders. With a deep sense of responsibility now resting on their shoulders, these young appointees are all set to inspire and lead their peers throughout the academic year.
