L’Oréal India is at present, accepting applications for the 2023 edition of the ‘For Young Women in Science’ Scholarship (FYWIS). Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website at foryoungwomeninscience.co.in. The deadline for application submissions is January 7, 2024.
This scholarship opportunity is exclusively available to girl students who have successfully completed Class XI in the Science stream, achieving a minimum of 85 per cent marks in PCM/PCB/PCMB during the current academic year (2021-22). Additionally, applicants must have secured admission into an undergraduate (bachelor’s) programme in a science-related field at a recognised college or university in India for the ongoing academic year, 2022-23.
Eligibility for the scholarship extends to girl students with an annual family income not exceeding Rs 6 lakh per annum. Following the screening and shortlisting process, selected candidates will undergo a telephonic interview. Subsequently, the chosen applicants, accompanied by their parents, will be invited for a face-to-face interview with a panel consisting of eminent scientists, academicians, journalists, and more.
This year, the jury round will be conducted in a hybrid mode, providing candidates with the option to participate either in person at designated locations like Mumbai, New Delhi/NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, or virtually.
