The Pre-primary Wing of Apeejay School, Sector-15, Faridabad, recently came together for वंदना और वात्सल्य — a heartwarming celebration that beautifully blended reverence for Lord Ganesh with the timeless affection of grandparents. The event unfolded as a vibrant tapestry of traditions, emotions, and togetherness, leaving every participant with memories to treasure.
The morning began on an auspicious note as families were warmly welcomed with a traditional tilak ceremony.
The atmosphere resonated with devotion during the soulful pooja and aarti of Lord Ganesh, where little ones joined their grandparents in offering prayers. This sacred moment not only instilled cultural values in the young hearts but also reinforced the importance of family bonds across generations.

Adding to the spiritual experience, a storytelling session captivated the children with tales of Lord Ganesh’s wisdom, leaving them wide-eyed and curious. The energy soon shifted to joyous celebration as students presented vibrant dance performances. With every graceful step, the little performers reflected both enthusiasm and devotion, earning loud applause from their proud grandparents.
The celebration, however, was not limited to performances. A series of fun-filled games and engaging activities brought students and their grandparents closer. From playing interactive challenges to sharing light-hearted moments, the event truly reflected the spirit of togetherness. One of the most heart-touching highlights was when the children wore their parents’ old t-shirts — creatively transformed into aprons. Beyond serving as a practical garment for the activities, these aprons symbolised how the love and blessings of parents are passed down and carried forward by the next generation.

The day also carried a message of sustainability. Families enthusiastically participated in an eco-friendly Ganesh idol-making activity, using clay to mould their devotion into tangible art. This hands-on session not only sparked creativity but also encouraged children to understand the importance of protecting nature while celebrating festivals.
As the programme drew to a close, families gathered for cheerful photo sessions. Smiles, laughter, and candid moments filled the campus, turning it into a lively canvas of affection and joy. There was a memory corner which helped everyone click pictures to keep memories cherishing forever, followed by high-tea.

वंदना और वात्सल्य was more than just an event — it was a confluence of devotion, tradition, and unconditional love. It reminded us all that while festivals honour deities, they also bring families closer, strengthening the bonds that make life truly meaningful.
