
Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, proudly hosted the Zonal Instrumental Music Swar and Percussion Competition for Zone 23. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their musical talents, fostering creativity and encouraging the exchange of skills among participants. With 34 talented students competing across different categories, the event was a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing young artists.
Ms. Surabhi Joshi, Principal of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, inaugurated the event with an inspiring address, encouraging participants to make the most of this opportunity. She emphasised, “It is important to learn from each other and such events contribute to the holistic development of students.”
The competition was divided into two segments—Swar and Percussion—and further categorised into Senior Girls, Senior Boys, Junior Girls, and Junior Boys, ensuring fair representation and a spirit of healthy competition.
The event featured eight distinguished judges, four for each segment, all of whom are renowned artists of national fame in the field of instrumental music. Their expertise added prestige to the event, and their task was made challenging by the exceptional quality of performances. The students demonstrated their skills on various instruments, including the sitar, flute, violin, nakara, and tabla, captivating the audience with their mastery and passion.
The competition was a learning experience for everyone involved.
