‘Zero to one’: Poem by Vihaan Malik, Apeejay School, Kharghar

Was at the base
Solving a case!
In the stress
In the press
But what I learnt
That from yesterday I won

I said to myself
From yesterday I became: ‘Zero to One!’

I began to think
What I did!
Then my eye just blinked

I said to myself
“You can do it!”
I thought, I am no longer a kid
I realized that my work is done
And my brain from yesterday became
‘Zero to one!’

My responsibilities increased
‘Me time’ decreased
But I wasn’t upset,
My original behaviour got reset
As I knew that
“Becoming mature is like upgrading from
‘Zero to One!’

I could see a change in me
I could stand on my own
Felt as if became a big stone

What I realized is,
I have overall got sized
My childhood is done
I became
‘Zero to One!’
