The ‘Economics Forum’ of the Department of Economics of Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, organised live streaming of the budget session for the students of BA, BSc. (Economics), B.Com. and BBA.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, expressed her views on the significance of budget. She said, “Here at Apeejay, we ensure that students understand the essential nuances of the degree they are pursuing. For the students of Economics, B.Com and BBA, it is necessary for them to understand the economic activities of their nation and the financial budget of the nation certainly highlights the same.”
Some facts were shared by Mrs. Nirmala Sita Raman (Finance Minister) like promoting medical tourism in India, development of the North – East region, promoting the making of sustainable and intelligence developing toys, building a labour intensive sector so that more and more people get employment, promoting large, micro, medium and small industries and entrepreneurships. Also, the government has decided that it will increase funding in IITs and IISC so that the talented youth of the country get the best education and lead the country on the path of progress. In the year 2025 – 26, efforts will also be made to increase the infrastructure of various sectors in the country.

The event was planned by Dr. Supreet Talwar, Head, Department of Economics, who also counselled the students and further briefed them about the new budget. Finally, Dr. Dhingra appreciated the efforts of Dr. Talwar for organising this activity for students.
