The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, along with CBSE, has launched Youth Ideathon 2024 to promote creativity and entrepreneurship among school students across India. This competition is aligned with the New Education Policy 2020, aiming to develop entrepreneurial skills in students from classes IV to XII.

Youth Ideathon 2024 targets over 2 lakh students from 10,000 schools, surpassing last year’s participation. Teams of 3-5 students can compete in junior (classes IV-VIII) and senior (classes IX-XII) categories through five stages, starting online and culminating in a grand finale on October 6, 2024.

The theme, iStartup a Good Thing for India, encourages students to develop innovative ideas that benefit the nation. Supported by industry leaders like Esri India, MediaTek, and SheAtWork, participants will receive certificates, and top teams can win incubation grants up to Rs 1 lakh. Special awards will also be given to teachers, mentors, and schools with high participation rates.

The initiative aims to cultivate a culture of entrepreneurship among India’s youth, providing a platform for students to showcase their ideas and potentially become the next generation of job creators. Youth Ideathon 2024 is a significant step in nurturing young entrepreneurial talent and promoting school-level innovation. For more details, you can visit www.youthideathon2024.in.
