School assemblies serve as an essential platform for students to develop confidence, enhance their public speaking skills, and cultivate a sense of teamwork. They allow young learners to showcase their talents while also imparting knowledge on significant themes. Keeping this in mind, the students of Class III at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, conducted an assembly focusing on the theme Wonders of Science and Good Luck.

The assembly commenced with an introduction, setting the tone for an insightful and motivational session. It featured various segments, including a news update, a thought for the day, and a word of the day, all of which aligned with the central theme. These elements not only enriched students’ knowledge but also encouraged them to reflect on the importance of science in daily life.

A key highlight of the assembly was a skit that creatively portrayed some of the most renowned scientists and their groundbreaking inventions. Students enthusiastically enacted the roles of Charles Babbage, known as the Father of the Computer; Galileo Galilei, who revolutionised astronomy with the telescope; Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone; and Thomas Edison, whose invention of the light bulb changed the world. Through engaging performances, the young actors effectively conveyed how these innovations continue to impact modern life.

Adding a musical touch to the assembly, students presented an inspiring song and an energetic dance performance. The performances were designed to motivate students to remain diligent, persistent, and confident as they prepared for their upcoming exams. The lively choreography and uplifting lyrics resonated with the audience, instilling a sense of enthusiasm and determination among their peers.

The event concluded with an address by Ms Surabhi Joshi, the Principal, who commended the students for their efforts and creativity. She emphasised the importance of observing and appreciating the wonders of science in the world around them. Her words encouraged students to develop curiosity, explore scientific concepts, and strive for success in all their endeavors.

The Class III assembly was a perfect blend of education and entertainment. The students’ enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork made it an engaging and enlightening experience, reinforcing the significance of science and perseverance in their academic journey.
