Young Achiever: ‘School is my happy and comforting place’

Sky is the limit for this small wonder. Meet Yashvi Bhasin who got promoted to class IV in Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg. This nine-year-old brilliant mind is non fussy about things in life and calls discipline and sincerity her best buddies. ” I believe in the phrase – early bird gets the worm and apply in my life too. I used to revise all my chapters much before exam time and during exams, my mother helped me learn them better,” she shared.

In a candid conversation, she talks about how she wants to be a pilot among other things.

What is your favourite subject?

English is my most favourite subject which is taught by my class teacher. She also happens to be my favourite teacher.  

What is your daily routine?

On days when I go to school, I study maximum for two hours and on holidays – I study for half an hour. I maintain a balance between my other extracurricular activities and studies. 

What is your favourite food?

Mostly I am happy with home cooked food but I do cheat on few days with my other favourite junk foods- pizza and French fries.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to fly planes, so I want to become a pilot. 

Do you like school?

I absolutely love my school. The most enjoyable time is the break time when I get to share my food with my friends and chat. 

Which extracurricular activities are you learning? 

I love to participate in dance competitions and also won second prize in one of the competition. I am also training for swimming and badminton under a sports academy.  My other interests lies in reading and Rapunzel is my most loved story book.
