Ritik Maheshwari, a PGDM alumnus of Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, with a dual specialisation in Operations and Marketing, always knew he wanted to pursue a career in core operations. When Sepoy Beverages visited the ASM campus, Ritik’s preparation and passion aligned perfectly. Now working as a Supply Chain Executive, he shares insights into his role, the skills that matter most in his field, and how ASM helped shape his professional discipline.

What inspired you to take up this role at Sepoy Beverages?

I always wanted to work in core operations. When Sepoy Beverages came for campus placements, my mentor at ASM advised me to go for it. I followed that advice, cracked the interview, and here I am. The role was exactly what I was looking for.

Can you walk us through your job responsibilities?

As a Supply Chain Executive, I manage end-to-end supply chain processes across India. This includes monitoring logistics, inventory, and distribution. I also handle e-commerce services for the company. It’s a dynamic role that requires attention to detail and fast decision-making.

What key skills from ASM are helping you in this job?

Time management and communication are two major ones. At ASM, we were constantly trained to manage deadlines and express ourselves confidently. In my current role, both of these are critical—especially when coordinating across teams or resolving supply issues quickly.

What are the next steps you envision in your career?

I’m working on upgrading myself with technical skills—especially in data analytics. I’ve started exploring data analysis tools and am planning to take up a professional course. The more I learn, the more valuable I become in this space.

What is the one quality needed to succeed in your field?

The ability to continuously upgrade yourself. The supply chain field evolves fast. New tools, better systems—if you stop learning, you fall behind. Step-by-step self-improvement is the key.

What is your one piece of advice for current ASM students?

Don’t wait for things to happen—take initiative. Your professors and mentors are there to guide you, but the motivation must come from within. Keep learning and be ready for every opportunity.

How did your ASM education prepare you for this job?

ASM didn’t just teach theory. It taught me discipline, professionalism, and how to handle real-time challenges. I use what I learned there every day—especially the behavioural training, body language cues, and the importance of punctuality.
