‘You are my ironman’

Dear Papa,
I’m a big Marvel fan,
but my Ironman will always be you — I love you 3000.
I was just five when we took that trip to Shimla — snowflakes
falling, laughter echoing, our snow-fight etched in my heart. Since then, we wandered through countless cities, walked on
beaches, strolled through hill stations and shared endless
journeys, turning roads into memories and places into stories.

You’ve always been more of a brother than just a dad — cracking
silly jokes, annoying me for fun, I wouldn’t trade them for
anything. They’re home to me. I look at myself sometimes and
smile — because I see you in me. Our shared love for food, for
naps, for wandering new cities and finding joy in the unknown. In
every part of my journey, your shadow walks beside mine — not to
block the sun, but to remind me I’m never alone.

Thank you for teaching me the beauty of quiet strength, for
showing me that love doesn’t need grand gestures — just
presence. For being the man who held my hand through every
season. On this Father’s Day, I’m reminded that some heroes don’t
wear capes — they just hold your hand through life.

With love,
Ishi
