For him, writing is not a task to be completed, but a vibrant expression of joy, enthusiasm, and knowledge shared with the world. Meet Shivansh Nagpal, a Class VI student of Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, whose literary journey is as inspiring as it is impressive. In a candid conversation, this young wordsmith reveals how confidence, creativity, and passion are shaping his path, as he steadily carves a distinctive place for himself in the world of letters.

Share about your recent books that have been published.

I have recently published two books – Wings on the field and Curious case of giggling shadows, that reflect my growth as a writer. My first book was more of a trial effort, and although it had some mistakes, it helped me learn valuable lessons. In my second book, I improved significantly and confidently shared my true passion.

How did writing happen to you?

Writing came into my life unexpectedly. What began as a simple way to express my thoughts slowly turned into a deep passion. I started by noting down ideas and experiences, and over time, I discovered joy in shaping them into meaningful stories that reflect my feelings and imagination.

How has writing honed your personality?

It has greatly shaped and refined my personality. It has made me more thoughtful, observant, and confident in expressing my ideas. Through writing, I discovered my inner voice and creativity. Most importantly, it has given me a new identity to carry with pride, the title of author in my bag.

How did your school support your journey?

My school played an important role in supporting my journey as a writer. My teachers encouraged me to participate in writing activities and appreciated my efforts. They motivated me to improve my skills and believe in myself. Their guidance and constant support gave me the confidence to pursue my passion seriously.

What were the challenges you faced while writing?

I did not face any major challenges while writing, but every step taught me something new. Each experience helped me grow and improve my skills. Instead of difficulties, I saw opportunities to learn. Writing became a smooth and enjoyable journey that strengthened my confidence and creativity.

Why did you choose football as the writing theme?

I chose football as my writing theme because it is my greatest passion. The sport inspires me, excites me, and teaches valuable lessons about teamwork and determination. I also believe many football fans will connect with the story and find it deeply inspiring and truly enjoy reading it as well.
