‘Service As Action’ is an opportunity to look into global issues closely. My initiative was ‘Save Water’ as it is a very serious concern in today’s world. Since my early years, I have always understood the importance of water and therefore, wanted everyone in my society, community as well as school to understand the issue of clean water depletion. In my year-long research process, I worked on different practices. I educated and interviewed my helper at home about this issue and made posters as a reminder for the school students and staff. I also gave a presentation about ‘Save Water’ to Middle-Year-Programme- I to V in the school assembly, where I talked about the underestimated concern.
All this was followed by a month-long campaign, which I launched this year on World Water Day. The main theme of the campaign was ‘Vital Life Source.’ First, I briefed everyone on the campaign “Be the Voice.” Then, I gave a presentation that included statistics and facts about the issue as well as shared some tips on how we can save water. Further, I asked everyone to participate in my campaign by taking 4 action plans for a month.
The 1st action plan was ‘Each one teach one’, for which I invited the audience to talk to their helpers at home about how to use water judiciously. The 2nd action focused on creating slogans and posters for the community members. The 3rd plan was for good deeds, where everyone was asked to look in their surroundings to voice on saving water. Meanwhile, the 4th initiative focused on daily activities like keeping a track of water consumption.
My friends from other classes also launched their own campaigns, Vyna Malhotra from MYP- III on “Yamuna- Life source for many species,” Shreya Gupta’s campaign was on “Our water Our responsibility” Water Pollution and Aryan Pahuja from MYP- II spoke about Daily life “Cleanliness and Sanitation”

I would appreciate your efforts if you join my campaign. You can send me shreds of evidence as pictures, videos, or voice recordings. Please come forward to save every drop of water and make this world a better place for the present and future generations!
