In this interview, we delve into the journey of Shreya Ghosh, a passionate writer and creative designer, who is successfully turning her curiosity and love for communication into a fulfilling career. Driven by a natural inquisitiveness, the student of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC) finds joy in both designing and writing. She views them as complementary forms of art that allow her to express emotions and share her insights with the world. Her writing is deeply personal, often reflecting on social issues, personal experiences, and the lessons she draws from them, making her a thoughtful and reflective storyteller.

“Being curious is my nature, this curiosity has lifted me to pursue this career option. From advertising to journalism, everything comes under mass communication. Communication is an art like how effectively, how trickly you reach people’s insight. I am always very curious to find that insight,” explains Shreya in this interview. Read edited excerpts:

What interests you about writing ?

My interest in writing is mainly to share my views and tell my story to people. As a designer, writing is another art form to explain emotions. Even I have my diary where I write all my untold stories.

What kind of topics do you like to write about?

I love to write about my experience and what I’m learning from every situation. I have an interest in writing on social issues such as recent tax hike issues, Neet results matter to analyze advertising briefs.

Do you read books? Any favourite author?

I prefer self-motivating books. The last book I read was, “Build Don’t Talk” by Raj Shamani.

3 learnings from your writing journey

– Writing actually helps me to excel in my thought process.
 – Find the route of thinking to ideation.
-Another great learning from writing is that once I write any topic then I never forget easily.

Share two tips for budding writers.

I’ll suggest you read and listen to all but write only your words – your understanding, your thoughts, your point of view.
