Why I look up to my role models

When I think about the people who have shaped who I am today, two names immediately come to mind—my dad and my grandfather. They are more than just family to me; they are my heroes, my teachers, and my biggest inspirations. I look up to them not because they are perfect, but because of how they live their lives with strength, kindness, and integrity.

My dad is someone I admire for his hard work and steady support. No matter how busy he is, he always makes time for our family. Whether it’s helping me fix something, giving advice, or just sitting with me after a long day, his presence is always comforting. I remember when I struggled to build a model for my school project. I was ready to give up, but he sat with me for hours, teaching me not just how to do it, but how to be patient and never quit.
My grandfather is equally inspiring. Even though many people his age retire, he continues to work with passion and dedication. He wakes up early, goes to work every day, and still manages to make time for the family. I’ve often seen him return home tired, yet with a smile on his face and a story to tell. His energy, discipline, and commitment to his responsibilities amaze me. He’s taught me that age is never a barrier if you love what you do.
Together, they’ve shown me how to live with purpose, treat others with respect, and stay strong through challenges. What makes them my role models is not just what they’ve achieved, but the way they live—with humility, courage, and love.
I hope to carry forward the lessons they’ve taught me and become someone who makes them proud. If I grow up to be even a little like my dad and grandfather, I’ll consider that a great success.
