Which were the most popular courses among students in 2022?

Internshala Trainings, the career-tech platform’s engine for skill development, has recognised Web Development and Python as the most well-liked among students nationwide in the year 2022.

The top five cities where Web Development and Python courses were chosen by students, according to the survey, were Hyderabad (12.81%), Delhi (12.40%), Bangalore (11.16%), Kolkata (8.51%), and Pune (8.23%).

The study showcased that more than 36.12% of students wanted to enroll in online certification programmes in the said fields because they thought it might help them land better internships and job opportunities. Additionally, 28.38% of students thought the programmes helped them improve their skills.

Yet, 10.69% of students expressed interest in enrolling in certificate-granting courses. The research also included several intriguing statistics, such as the highest interest in choosing Web Development and Python courses, which was reported in Tier-III cities at 34.66%. Tier-I and Tier-II cities, on the other hand, reported figures of 30.14% and 18.54%, respectively.

According to the study, over 58.64% of men and 41.36% of women chose Web Development and Python courses through online learning platforms in the previous year. In addition to this, the highest and average monthly stipends awarded to students who passed the Web Development and Python courses and then secured an internship, as per the findings, were INR 50,000 and INR 7,200, respectively.
