
Apeejay School, Noida’s CODE Team made a stellar mark at the inter-school IT symposium, “Silico Battles,” held at APS, Mayur Vihar recently. Competing against numerous schools in a range of tech-based events, the Apeejay team demonstrated both skill and determination, lifting the prestigious Runner’s Up Trophy and securing several individual and team awards across multiple categories.
The team was led by dedicated senior students and guided by faculty members who encouraged them to put their best foot forward. In the “CYQUEST” event, a challenging competition focused on cyber skills and critical thinking, Ariet Jha from Class XII and Ritobrato Bhaumik from Class XI delivered an impressive performance, earning them the second prize. This event tested participants’ abilities to tackle complex cyber puzzles, and Ariet and Ritobrato’s teamwork and expertise in cybersecurity truly set them apart from the competition.
Another notable win was achieved by Nabeel Ahsan and Ritobrato Bhaumik, who paired up in the Quiz competition. Their collaboration and depth of knowledge on IT topics helped them secure the second prize, showcasing their ability to stay calm and focused under pressure while answering rapid-fire questions.
Creativity also took center stage with Kshitij Sagar from Class X, who won the second prize in “24 Frames,” an event focusing on video production and storytelling through digital media. Kshitij’s innovative approach to visual storytelling impressed the judges, who noted the sophistication and originality in his work.
The event “Dexterity,” which emphasised digital design skills, saw a fantastic showing from the team of Vipul Mittal, Arnav Nand Chahal, and Amaan Elahi. Their combined expertise in design and technical knowledge earned them the second prize. Their creation was lauded for its aesthetic appeal and meticulous attention to detail, reflecting the strong technical foundation that Apeejay School students possess.
Additionally, in the Surprise Event category, Tharun Krishna from Class XII won Third Prize, demonstrating versatility and adaptability, while Amaan Elahi took home third prize in the Programming event. A standout achievement came from young participant Shashmit Singhal from Class VII, who won the Third Prize in the “Scratch” event, which emphasised creativity and programming basics through visual coding.
The success at “Silico Battles” not only highlights Apeejay School, Noida’s commitment to nurturing IT talent but also underscores the dedication of the students and faculty towards excellence in technology and innovation. This outstanding performance has added another accolade to the school’s long list of achievements and has inspired the students to continue honing their skills for future competitions.
