The Finance and Analytics Clubs of Apeejay School of Management (ASM) — Finastra and Algorythms — recently hosted a unique academic-cum-cultural event titled “FINLATICS Antakshari”. Designed as an innovative blend of learning and entertainment, the event brought together elements of finance, analytics, and music to create an engaging and interactive educational experience for students.
FINLATICS Antakshari offered a creative twist to the traditional Antakshari game by infusing it with academic concepts. Instead of beginning their songs with randomly chosen alphabets, participants were required to start with finance- or analytics-related terms. This distinctive format tested not only their musical abilities but also their conceptual clarity, memory recall, and quick thinking. The activity was conceptualised to break the routine of classroom learning and encourage students to engage with technical terminology in a light-hearted and competitive manner.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across the campus. The lively musical atmosphere, combined with the competitive spirit of the game, created high energy levels and kept both the participants and the audience thoroughly involved. Students cheered for their peers, adding to the vibrancy and camaraderie of the occasion.
One of the strongest outcomes of FINLATICS Antakshari was its contribution to deeper conceptual learning. By associating terms from finance and analytics with songs, students developed a stronger recall of technical vocabulary. The activity also helped them refine important soft skills such as confidence, spontaneous thinking, public speaking, and teamwork. Participants collaborated closely with their teammates, highlighting the importance of coordination and shared effort.
The event further demonstrated the innovative approach of the Finance and Analytics Clubs at Apeejay School of Management. By blending academic content with cultural expression, Finastra and Algorythms showcased that education in finance and analytics need not be monotonous; rather, it can be dynamic, enjoyable, and deeply impactful. Such initiatives help students overcome academic fatigue while simultaneously strengthening their knowledge base.
At the end of the event, winners were announced based on their performance across various rounds. Sweta Kumari secured the first position, followed by Anshika Singh in second place, and Anuj Kaushik in third place. Sharing her experience, winner Sweta Kumari from the PGDM Batch 2025–27 said, “Finlatics Antakshari was quite an interesting activity and very different from the regular, monotonous finance and analytics discussions. I look forward to more such events.”
By combining music, learning, and lively competition, FINLATICS Antakshari successfully delivered a refreshing and effective learning experience. The event reaffirmed Apeejay School of Management’s commitment to fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovative academic engagement among its students.
