With determination in their hearts and discipline in their routine, these class VI-B toppers of Apeejay School, Model Town, (academic year 2024-25) have proven that success is achieved through consistent effort and focus. Their journey is a reflection of sincerity, smart time management, and an eagerness to learn beyond the classroom.
Meet Pragun Bansal, Lekisha Aggarwal and Shaurya Klair, who scored 93%, 89% and 88% in their final exams. Speaking about his preparation strategy, Pragun shared, “For exam preparation, I follow a structured and thoughtful approach. First, I create a study plan that outlines what needs to be covered and when. I manage my time effectively based on the exam schedule, ensuring each subject gets adequate attention. To avoid burnout, I take small and smart breaks that help me recharge and stay focused. I use active learning techniques like summarising, self-quizzing, and teaching concepts to others, which enhance retention. Staying calm during the preparation phase is crucial, so I practice mindfulness when needed. I also keep my study material well-organised and maintain a positive attitude throughout the process.”
Lekisha, on the other hand, focused on maintaining a balance. “As per my preparation strategy, during normal school days, I complete my homework within two hours and in my free time, I read a book, play outside or watch television. When it comes to exam time, I start by revising the chapters I have already covered and then learn the rest. I usually take a short 10-minute break when I feel tired,” she added.
For Shaurya, there was no particular study schedule; instead, he studied when he needed to, wanted to. “And whenever I do, it’s important for me to have a clear head and get rid of almost any distractions at the time. Other than that, I remain relaxed and a bit thoughtful, leading to faster learning, for me,” he shared.
These bright students balanced academics and extracurricular activities with dedication, making their families and teachers immensely proud. Behind their achievements lies a strong foundation built by timely revisions, goal-setting, and the constant support of mentors. Now, they have stepped into Class VII, and their achievements stand as a testament to what hard work, guided learning, and parental encouragement can accomplish.
