Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar recently organised an insightful motivational lecture for NCC (National Cadet Corps) students to highlight the significance of discipline and leadership through the NCC. The session featured Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer of the 2 Punjab NCC Battalion, as the guest speaker. Col. Joshi, with over three decades of military experience, shared his journey and the core values that NCC instills in students, including discipline, leadership, and a strong sense of duty towards the nation.

During his address, Col. Joshi emphasised the importance of joining NCC in developing personal and professional skills. He discussed how NCC participation prepares students for future roles in the Army and other national services, contributing to both personal development and the country’s progress. By sharing his experiences, especially from his encounters with terrorists, Col. Joshi inspired students to be courageous, disciplined, and responsible citizens. His narrative left a deep impression on the young audience, motivating them to embrace NCC’s values for personal and national growth.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Col. Joshi for his time and knowledge, acknowledging his dedication to educating the students on such a vital topic. She reinforced the importance of NCC in shaping the character of today’s youth and its role in fostering a disciplined and responsible future generation.

Dr. Dhingra also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Neeraj Katyal and Ms. Komal for successfully organising this guest lecture. The event was a successful initiative by the NCC wing of the college, as it not only motivated students to consider a career in the Army but also highlighted the broader life lessons that NCC imparts. The lecture provided valuable insights and strengthened the connection between education, discipline, and national responsibility.
