Apeejay School, Tanda Road shines at the Cultural Yuvak Fest Dance championship

The Dance Sports Council of Punjab recently organised the Cultural Yuvak Fest, a state-level dance sports championship, held at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar. The event brought together talented young dancers from across the state, all eager to showcase their skills and passion for dance. Among the enthusiastic participants were the students of Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, who delivered remarkable performances that left a lasting impression on both the audience and the judges.

The event provided an excellent platform for young dancers to exhibit their talents in a competitive yet supportive environment. Students from various schools participated in different categories based on their age groups, ranging from solo performances to group dances. Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, had a strong contingent of dancers in the ages of seven to 12 category, who demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and creativity in their performances.

The students performed with great enthusiasm and energy, earning accolades and recognition for their impressive dance routines. In the seven to 12 age category, Hargursimranjit Kaur of class V stood out with her captivating performance, securing the 2nd prize. Her graceful movements and confident stage presence were a testament to her hard work and dedication to the art of dance.

Other students who made their mark in the competition were Ashmaira of class I, Daanya of class IV, and Gauransh Gupta of class III each won 3rd prize in their respective categories. Their performances showcased a diverse range of dance styles, reflecting their versatility and commitment to mastering different forms of dance.

Rabia Gupta of class VIII added to the school’s accolades with her outstanding performance in a group dance category. Her team’s synchronised movements and vibrant choreography earned them the 1st position, highlighting the importance of teamwork and coordination in group performances. The audience was captivated by their energy and enthusiasm, and the judges were equally impressed by their flawless execution and creativity.

Additionally, Kiranjit Kaur of class III participated in the event and received a participation certificate. Her involvement in the championship demonstrated the school’s commitment to encouraging all students to participate and gain valuable experience, regardless of the outcome. Participation in such events helps young dancers build confidence, develop their skills, and foster a love for dance that goes beyond the competition.

The school coordinator, Ms Deepti Kaushal, congratulated the students on their outstanding performances and achievements. She expressed her pride in their hard work and dedication, acknowledging the efforts of both the students and their dance instructors. Ms Kaushal also emphasised the importance of participating in such events, as they provide valuable learning experiences and opportunities for personal growth.
