Books are uniquely portable magic – Stephen King

Activities that celebrate storytelling and creativity bring immense joy to toddlers. Engaging with books and interactive play not only nurtures their imagination but also fosters social connections. As they explore new stories and participate in fun activities, children develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. These experiences make reading exciting, transforming it into a shared adventure filled with laughter and discovery.

Recently, Rhythmites of Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, GK-II, transformed into a wonderland of stories for Book into the Future 2.0 – an enchanting celebration dedicated to the magic of books. The campus buzzed with excitement as international titles lined the displays, captivating young readers with everything from tactile delights to thrilling adventures and innovative augmented-reality stories. Each turned page unlocked new realms of imagination, igniting curiosity in every child.

“There’s more treasure in books than all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Island… books are truly portable magic,” said Ms Komal Nathani, School Head, Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, GK-II.

The event seamlessly combined the joy of reading with playful activities. Educational games like jolly phonics and magnetic letter challenges delighted young minds, while DIY craft stations, riddles, and interactive quizzes added to the day’s fun. Live storytelling sessions enchanted listeners, weaving familiar tales into vibrant experiences that sparked wonder.

Drawing an extraordinary crowd from the GK-II community and beyond, the event showcased a universal love for literature. A highlight of the day was the inauguration by esteemed guests, including Ms Charu Gupta, author of A Journey to the Mystery IslandMs Shweta Dutta, Editor at the Times of India, Dr Debarghya Dasgupta from IQVIA, and Ms Papia Lahiri, Lead Content Writer, Brandlabs@INC42 Media. Their inspiring words reminded us, “A writer only begins a book; a reader finishes it,” adding a profound touch to the festivities.

Such events are vital for toddlers, as they cultivate joy and curiosity in learning. Engaging activities stimulate their imaginations and promote social interaction, helping them build connections with others through shared stories and play. By introducing children to the world of books in an enjoyable way, we nurture their love for reading and spark lifelong learning adventures.
