The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted the UGC NET June 2024 session on June 18, 2024, across 1,205 exam centres in 317 cities. The exam, held in two shifts, saw participation from 9.08 lakh out of 11.21 lakh registered candidates. This participation rate of approximately 81% is an improvement from the 73.6% attendance in December 2023.

The June 2024 session, conducted in OMR mode for 83 subjects, included 6,35,587 women, 4,85,579 men, and 59 third-gender candidates. Notably, the UGC has introduced a provision allowing candidates from four-year UG programmes to qualify for a Junior Research Fellowship and PhD admissions for the first time.

The NTA will soon release the provisional answer key for the UGC NET June 2024 exam on its official website, with an objection window charging Rs 200 per objection. The final results are expected by the second week of July, following the resolution of objections and the release of the final answer keys.
