Apeejay Svran Global school elects its new student council

Apeejay Svran Global School recently held a virtual Investiture ceremony for the newly elected student council. The ceremony was attended by all members of the teaching staff and students of class 12. Education Officer, Mrs Purnima Vohra presided over the ceremony.
The office bearers from class 12 took the oath as Head boy, Head girl, Sports captain and House captains respectively.
Ayush Gupta and Mineet Kaur swore in as the head boy and head girl for the new academic session. Manraj Singh Sethi swore in as the sports captain. Harshita Solanki, Tvishi Vasudeva, Anjani and Anmol Bansal became the captains for: Sarabhai, Raman, Aryabhatta and Einstein houses respectively.
Addressing the students, Principal, Mrs Deepika Arora stated that roles and responsibilities of leaders are crucial and so they must be carried out diligently. She highlighted the qualities expected from leaders and emphasised that the office-bearers must become role models for their juniors. She said, “Once all of you carry out your duties diligently, you will not only be able to succeed in life but also be able to hold the banner of the school high even after leaving the school.”
Ms Deepika also urged the students to be worthy of the trust entrusted in them and follow the footsteps of Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Paul and his illustrious daughter, and current President, Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia.

Education Officer, Mrs Purnima Vohra, addressed the students and mentioned how the office-bearers were the leaders of tomorrow. She said, “A great responsibility lies upon your young shoulders. You must become the torch-bearers of a better tomorrow and strive to become better versions of yourselves each day.” She added, “The vision of Chairman Sir and Madam Sushma Paul Berlia encourages and inspires all the members of the family at all times. Students, you must respect your elders and teachers. You must seize every opportunity to help others. You must take care of your well-being and strive to become great leaders in the future.”
Head boy, Ayush Gupta expressed his gratitude to the school for bringing out the best in every student by ensuring a policy of holistic development. He mentioned that for a leader, duties come before rights and responsibilities come before roles. He promised to work hard and become a praiseworthy ambassador of the school.
Head girl Mineet Kaur delivered the vote of thanks. She said that all office-bearers must work hard to execute their responsibilities with utmost devotion and sincerity. She was confident that the newly elected student council would make the school proud through their work and human values.

To be a great leader, one needs to start by leading oneself. Self-awareness, self-reflection, and self-regulation are the three steps for being a good leader. Upholding the motto of the School, ‘Soaring high is our Nature’, the elected council members pledged to be the torch bearers of the values that the school stands for.”
