As these class VII-C toppers transition into class VIII at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, their hard work and perseverance shine brightly. Their meticulous approach to studies, underscored by a well-planned and dedicated timetable, has paved the way for this notable achievement.
Meet Dishan Kapoor, Nishaant Kapoor and Kairavi Gupta who have scored 98.90%, 98.70 and 98.40% respectively in their final exams. Every moment spent studying has borne fruit, reflecting a commitment that goes beyond mere academics.
Speaking about his preparation strategy, Dishan said, “I made sure to revise all my subjects at least three times before every exam. After returning from school, I followed a structured study routine in three shifts: from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, then 6:15 PM to 7:30 PM, and finally from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM.”
Meanwhile, Nishaant explained how he finally achieved great scores, “To do well in exams, first I try to understand the syllabus and question pattern. Then I made a study plan and gave more time to difficult topics afterwards and practiced past papers to improve speed and accuracy. And then I revised key points regularly using notes or flashcards. Lastly, I try to stay calm, sleep well, and keep a positive mindset,” he shared.
For Kairavi it was all about striking a balance between studies and co-curricular. “I planned my day accordingly to cover the syllabus turn by turn. I study on a regular basis to avoid last minute stress. Also, I believe in managing co- curricular activities along with studies as physical fitness is also important,” she said.
So how did they tackle the challenges faced during exam time? “The biggest challenge I faced during exams is to keep myself away from distractions like TV and tabs,” shared Dishan. Though Nishaant believed that with proper preparation, exams become easier to handle and Kairavi dealt with maintaining consistent concentration to understand a few topics.
As their parents beam with pride, and teachers celebrate these young scholars’ dedication and discipline. This success not only marks a milestone in their academic journey but also sets a strong foundation for future endeavours, reinforcing the belief that sincere effort leads to lasting excellence indeed.
