Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar continuously strives for the academic and cultural development of the students. And therefore, the college takes several steps to make the students aware of the importance of national festivals. With this aim, ACFA celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great pomp and fervour.
Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of the college, hoisted the tricolour flag in the college premises, paying homage to the tricolour. Addressing the students on this occasion, she said, “We should be proud to be Indians, this is the holy land where great saints and patriots were born, we should take inspiration from the lives of those great saints and patriots and prepare our life path and move forward and work for our country with full dedication.”

Similarly, the college also observed Voters’ Day with the motto to familiarise students with its importance while nurturing in them the values of becoming a good and responsible citizen.
Apeejay College of Fine Arts provides value-based education to the students and ensures their educational, cultural and social development so that they can contribute to the growth of the nation.
On the Voters’ Day, students took an oath to exercise their right to vote honestly at the time of elections and contribute towards the development of the country. Also, students were made aware that every single vote is important in elections and sometimes on the basis of just one vote, an honest representative wins and is able to contribute towards public welfare.
Expressing her thoughts, Dr. Neerja Dhingra encouraged the young generation to make their contribution in the innovation and development of the country. “The college is the platform where students get correct information about their rights and duties. Our objective of celebrating Voters’ Day is to acquaint our students with the importance of voting and exercise their right to vote appropriately during elections.”
