Tiny tots learn about different seasons through fashion show

Although perceived as a mere fun activity, fashion shows are of great benefit to children as it helps in building their imagination and vocabulary. It not only blends learning with fun, but also develops confidence in students by giving them an opportunity and boosting their confidence to speak in front of a big crowd.

To enhance creativity, imagination and build confidence, Apeejay School, Kharghar, recently organised a fashion show for pre-primary children of Junior Kg and Senior Kg classes as a part of their monthly activity.  The theme for the show was ‘Seasons’.   

During the event, each child dressed up in an attire that depicted a particular season like winter, summer, rainy, spring and autumn. The tiny tots were given the opportunity to dress up and speak on the various features and aspects of the particular season.

The parents used their boundless imagination to dress the kids creatively. The students and parents participated in the activity with full enthusiasm and showcased their versatility.

Students looked vibrant in their colourful and different costumes and walked the ramp confidently. It was a treat to the eyes as they walked with beauty and grace on the ramp. Their innocent words and stage presence won the hearts of teachers and judges. This activity also helped to develop their conversational skills.

Basabdatta Barui, Pre-Primary Coordinator expressed, “Keeping in mind the beauty and the versatility of nature, the Pre-primary students performed a colourful fashion show. Students not only walked on the ramp with confidence but also spoke about the various special features of different seasons.”
