‘Through various creative activities, teachers help in developing team spirit amongst students’
‘Parents must teach their child to be a good human being with a strong personality,’ says Parul Verma, mother of a class 7 student.
Parul Verma is an Advocate and her husband Sanjaya Verma is a Government officer. Their daughter, Chhavi Verma, is enrolled in class 7 A at Apeejay School, Noida. In an interview, Mrs. Verma shares couple of important lessons that parents must teach their child. Read edited excerpts:
What made you think Apeejay School, Noida, would be the right choice for your child?
I have been associated with the Apeejay School, Noida since 2009. I did a lot of research and decided to enroll my elder son at Apeejay due to the following factors:
1) Academic excellence
2) Extracurricular activities
3) School culture
4) Infrastructure
5) Location and transportation
6) Good peer group
Thereafter, seeing my son’s development in this school, I enrolled my daughter in 2014. I am completely satisfied with the school.
Tell us what you think about the way teachers conduct classes.
Teachers conduct classes in a very friendly and creative manner. They try to make children learn things in a way that they don’t feel burdened. On top of that, teachers use presentations, 3D models which help students to grasp concepts faster. During the COVID lockdown, teachers not only focused on online classes or traditional teaching methods, but used more interesting ways, like conducting online quizzes, annotations, etc., to make lessons interesting for the kids.
How has your child’s learning progress been?
Chhavi’s learning trajectory has been progressive over the span of years. Due to the teacher’s excellent guidance, she is doing amazing in academics as well as extracurricular activities. She has learned to be independent, supportive and responsible.
What is the most important lesson each parent must teach their child?
Parents must teach their child to be a good human being, who is helpful, kind, empathic, responsible and independent with a strong personality.
Apeejay believes in the overall development of children. Is your child also learning moral values and etiquette?
Apeejay nurtures the overall personality of the students. Apart from the good quality education, teachers develop a bond with students and act as their friends and mentor. They tend to provide the right direction to children and teach them moral values and etiquette. With the help of various activities, teachers help develop a team spirit amongst them.
