This state tops in providing jobs via employment exchanges

Gujarat, once again, has achieved a remarkable feat of leading the nation in job placements through employment exchanges, evoking a sense of pride for the state, announced Balvantsinh Rajput, the Minister of Labour and Employment.
Referring to the recently released Employment Exchanges Statistics-2023 by the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment, an official statement quoted the minister, highlighting Gujarat’s consistent position at the top since 2002.
The statement further revealed that in 2022, Gujarat accounted for an impressive 43 percent of the total job placements facilitated by employment exchanges across the country. Out of the 6.44 lakh youth employed nationwide, 2.74 lakh found opportunities in Gujarat.
Moreover, the state emerged as the leading state in providing jobs to youth from the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) communities in 2022. The release noted that out of the 38,700 SC youth employed in India, 22,600 of them (58 percent) secured jobs in Gujarat. Similarly, among the 22,000 ST youth employed across the country, a significant majority of 19,100 (86 percent) found employment in Gujarat.
