This state has the highest internship seekers, female workforce

The ‘India Skills Report 2023’ released by Wheebox in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has named Andhra Pradesh as the state with the highest number of internship seekers in the country at 93.50%. This is followed by Rajasthan (93.22), Jharkhand (92.98), Karnataka (91.62) and West Bengal (91.38).

In the domain of the available numerical skills, Andhra Pradesh is again on top followed by Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. In addition to this, the state also has the maximum female workforce in India.

The findings are based on the Wheebox National Employability Test (WNET) which was taken by 3.75 lakh individuals across the nation. It is also based on cooperation with various educational institutions and organisations. Through WNET, the candidates were tested for competencies and skills necessary to be employable in a socio-economic environment of the country.
