Mrs Mamta Maurya is a homemaker and her husband, Mr Sandeep Maurya, is a service provider dealing in water and power plants. Their children Ritishka and Anwesha are students in Apeejay International School, Greater Noida. In a brief telephonic conversation, Mrs Maurya explains the reasons behind what makes the school a perfect place for learning. Read edited excerpts:

How was the admission process? Smooth or difficult?

It was fairly easy. The school cooperated a lot, especially the Principal ma’am who was so humble. She interacted and made Ritishka feel very comfortable. Also, her former class teacher, Nisha ma’am, was very supportive as she was there with us at every step.

Is Ritishka happy going to school?

She enjoys school a lot. She misses her teacher and friends even during the holidays. She cries that she wants to go to the school (laughs). It is very surprising for me that such a small child desires to go to school even on holidays. My daughter has made a good friend circle in her class. She loves to play football, and take part in all the running games. She also heartily participates in the class activities.

My elder daughter Anwesha is also blooming in the school. She joined the school in class 4 and was chosen as the head girl last session. Anwesha loves the fact that she is quite popular in school (laughs). Also, she participates in all inter-school dance, public speaking competitions as well as intra school activities..

Is the teacher engaging well with the student?

Shivika ma’am, her current class teacher is simply excellent. Also, I have to mention that Jasjeet ma’am, my elder daughter’s science teacher, is too good.

Would you recommend the school to any other parent?

Yes, I had already recommended one of my friends to enroll her daughter in this school, whose daughter has already joined the school in class 9.

What do you find the best thing about the school?

The Principal and the teachers are very supportive. Whenever we go and meet Sarita ma’am, we, as parents, are never made to feel that we are meeting the head of the school. We are made to feel very welcome and comfortable.
